Pitti Uomo takes place twice a year in Florence. It’s an intense 3 days of menswear fashion events and all the people that count in the menswear industry gather from all over the world to buy and showcase their upcoming collections, pull out their best suits, drink wine when possible and try to get photographed looking cool.
The Sartorialist has always been famous to photograph the stylish men outside the shows at Pitti Uomo, but no one has really paid enough attention to the details that these gentlemen put in their outfits, including their wrist timepieces.
I am a major fan of men’s watches, I believe that the bigger the better and the older even better. Here are a few snaps that I found on the internet on what timepieces men were wearing during Pitti Uomo 2016. So has smart watches really replaced wrist watches and status watches? I don’t think so – a good watch is always a good watch. Last remark, it’s impressive to see how many Rollies on Rollies were on fashionable men’s arms, followed by a few Pateks and Omega.
