Formentera; the Caribbean’s of Europe. Crystal clear water, thin, white, soft sand, 27°C, the peace of senses. Reservation at Cala Saona, new hotel, minimal, white and young, 100m from the beach. Time to put on a bikini and off we go to Juan y Andrea a Playa Illetes. June is the perfect season, there aren’t too many people, and too many Italians. The beaches are approachable and you have space to lay down in full star. The water is still fresh and you can swim with total tranquillity without the anxiety of bumping into someone else. You can eat at Juan y Andrea, but if you don’t want to sit at a table, there are plenty of bars where you can get food and eat under the sombrilla. The sun stays up until 9pm, but at 8pm we moved to have drinks at Lucky, at Playa de Migjorn Km 7. Dinner at Can Carlos at San Francesc, where you can enjoy everything from meat to fish and exquisite desserts.
